The brief
Viperia Exotics needed reliable, year-round temperature control for its office space, installed neatly in a building with a distinctive green-wall interior.
The outdoor units had to be mounted on the building’s brick wall, with the pipework and cabling kept tidy and protected.
The solution
We specified two Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Premium wall-mounted systems, each with its own outdoor unit: a 7kW system for the larger space and a 2.5kW system for the smaller one.
MHI Premium systems are inverter-driven, so they cool and heat efficiently and run quietly in a working office. Each room has its own control, so the spaces are not forced to share one temperature.
The installation
Both outdoor units are wall-mounted on galvanised steel brackets high on the brick elevation, clear of the ground.
- Containment: refrigerant pipework and cabling run in insulated lines on galvanised cable tray and strut, in neat, square runs rather than loose across the brickwork.
- Safety: a local isolator sits beside the units, so the systems can be switched off safely for servicing.
- Indoor units: wall-mounted above the existing sockets, with pipework routed through the green-wall cladding to leave a clean finish.
- Commissioning: pipework was vacuumed and commissioned with gauges and a vacuum pump before the systems were handed over.
The result
Both systems are installed, commissioned and in use. The offices have heating and cooling on demand, and the outdoor installation is tidy, secure and easy for an engineer to service.
