Air conditioning installation
A good installation is what separates a system that runs quietly for fifteen years from one that gives trouble in the first two. Ours is designed, fitted and commissioned by our own engineers.
How we install
- Survey and design. We confirm the right capacity, unit positions, pipe routes and power supply.
- Fixed quotation. A clear price with nothing hidden, confirmed from photos or a site visit.
- Installation. Indoor unit, outdoor unit, pipework, drain and electrical connection, installed neatly and protected during the works.
- Pressure test, evacuation and commissioning. Every system is nitrogen pressure-tested, vacuumed to remove moisture and commissioned with readings recorded.
- Handover. We show you how to use the controls and register the warranty.
The details that matter
- Pipework insulated and supported properly, with trunking colour-matched to the building where wanted
- Outdoor units on wall brackets or anti-vibration feet, positioned for airflow and low noise
- Condensate drained to a suitable point, not left to drip
- Isolators and cabling installed to a clean, labelled standard
REFCOM registered
Handling refrigerant legally requires F-Gas competence. Optimal Engineering Ltd is REFCOM registered (REF1023448), so every installation, leak check and recovery is carried out by qualified engineers.

Common questions
How long does an air conditioning installation take?
Most single-room systems are installed in a day. Multi-room and commercial systems are programmed after a survey.
Do you supply the equipment as well?
Yes. We supply and fit Mitsubishi Heavy Industries systems as standard and can fit Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and other brands on request.
Will you tidy up and make good?
Yes. We protect floors and furniture, core and seal wall penetrations neatly and leave the site clean.
Is the work guaranteed?
Our installations are registered, and qualifying Mitsubishi Heavy Industries systems carry up to 10 years’ manufacturer warranty through our Diamond Partner status.
